What is Augmented Reality?
According to google, augmented reality is defined as this:
aug·men·ted re·al·i·ty
noun
aug·men·ted re·al·i·ty
noun
- a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world, thus providing a composite view.
But what does this really mean?
Your first time experience with Augmented Reality (AR) will be something that you will not forget. It is a true WOW factor. But, how can we harness this WOW into our classrooms?
There are many specialty apps that use triggers (physical item that unlocks the AR item). Triggers can be the cover of a book, a picture, a logo, or even a candy bar wrapper. These triggers paired with the many AR apps that are out there, create a world that can capture the imagination and enhance the learning.
As you browse the AR Links page of this website, I hope that you find some AR that will fit in your classroom environment.
