This year our first full day inservice within the school year was dedicated to all things technology. All of our teachers from our 5 schools gathered at our High School for a day of learning fun.
I am still the "new person" around here, so I had a little trepidation going into the day, but in the first few minutes of my first session that was all gone. I am so proud to be a part of a staff that appreciates and respects each other for all their strengths (and weaknesses).
As the day went on, we had a great time learning about a bunch of different ways that we can incorporate technology into our existing curricula. By the time the day was finished, I seen people that were so excited about bringing more tech into their classroom. I have been busy with meetings and appointments with teachers and I absolutely LOVE it. The feedback I received from teachers made my heart and soul so happy that I could provide a day of learning that was fun and informational!
I am starting a google session on Monday nights for teachers and we are going to pull an "appy hour" together as well for the 'ipaddlers' in the district.
Such a great day -- a kind of new beginning for our weird/wacky year. I can't wait until the next one!
